John Brazzale and Xavier Mercadé appointed to lead the Baker Tilly Asia Pacific and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) geographic areas respectively
Baker Tilly has announced the appointment of John Brazzale from Australia as the new leader for its Asia Pacific geographic area. The region accounts for US$763m in revenue, comprises more than 11,720 people across 23 territories and is one of the network’s four geographical areas.
Xavier Mercadé from Spain has assumed the role of chair of Baker Tilly’s Europe, Middle East and Africa geographic area. The largest and most diverse of the regions, EMEA accounts for revenue of US$1.2bn and more than 12,318 people in 89 territories.
Speaking on the appointments, Ted Verkade, the network’s CEO, said: “Our Regional Advisory Councils play a key role in the leadership of our network. Their overarching objective is to help ensure that the Baker Tilly network is equipped to meet the challenges of today and is prepared for the future.
“The combination of John and Xavier’s leadership skills, management experience and achievements in driving business results will help take Baker Tilly in APAC and in EMEA to even greater heights. I look forward to working more closely with them both.”
